The League calls for the cancellation of the Tangier Union gathering

On Saturday, the National Football League called for the cancellation of the regular general meeting of the Tangier Football Club, scheduled to be held on December 24, against the backdrop of the non-implementation of urgent judicial rulings issued by the Court of First Instance in Tangier, enabling a number of participants to submit and renew their membership applications within the legal deadlines.

This decision came after the League received official grievances attached to documents and judicial rulings subject to expedited enforcement, confirming the failure of the head of the managerial office of the Tangier Club to implement judicial orders requiring the receipt of applications for membership, under penalty of a threatening financial fine for each day of delay.

According to the document seen by Hespress, the general meeting that was scheduled to be held to discuss an agenda that included approving new applications for membership was announced “without inviting those concerned with the judicial rulings,” which the league considered “a violation of the requirements of the Physical Education and Sports Law, and of the club’s bylaws, which enshrines the right of members to attend, participate, and have prior access to the agenda.”

The list of those calling for the cancellation of the general assembly includes a number of prominent names, including well-known political figures who are members of the Tangier City Council, including two deputy mayors of the city, Abdel Nabi Morou and Issam El Ghashi, and Counselor Abdel Wahed Boulaich, in addition to the former president of the club, Mohamed Cherkaoui, and other elected officials, which confirms that the dispute is complex and promises exciting developments in the future.

The National Football League called on the club’s management to immediately implement the content of the judicial rulings issued, by receiving the requests of the concerned participants and including their names in the official list, before any new call to hold a general assembly, while noting that non-compliance may result in the arrangement of legal and regulatory effects in force.
