The Library of Alexandria announced the selection of the late Moroccan minister and thinker Mohamed bin Issa, the personality of the twentieth session of its international book Exhibition, which will be organized during the period between 7 and 21 July.
The director of the Library of Alexandria Ahmed Zayed, in a statement, indicated that the Moroccan diplomat, who died last March, was one of the former members of the Board of Trustees of the Library of Alexandria.
The twentieth session of the exhibition, which is held in cooperation with the Egyptian General Book Authority and the Egyptian and Arab Publishers Union, will witness the participation of 78 Egyptian and Arab publishing houses.
The director of the Library of Alexandria highlighted that the new session of the exhibition will allocate a children’s pavilion that includes more than 15 publishing houses concerned with printing and publishing children’s books, indicating that the cultural program of the exhibition includes the organization of 215 cultural events in which approximately 800 speakers and lecturers participate.
According to the same statement; The exhibition program includes a number of conferences, seminars and workshops, in addition to social axes to support youth, women and children, and cultural axes that deal with heritage, poetic, literary, technological, psychological and sports topics.
The new session of the exhibition will witness the distribution of the Grand Reading Competition Awards launched by the Library of Alexandria, on Thursday, July 17, in the presence of a number of writers, thinkers and intellectuals.
