Almost a year ago that Kooperatiba Eztibeltza took over the Larraldea de Lekaroz cider factory after the retirement of Jesús Ángel García, the previous cider producer. Its managers Oianko Garde, Marijo Indabere and Xabi Torres currently manage the business and this year they will organize the little official who will kick off this year’s cider season in Navarra.

The event will be held this Friday, January 19th and some personality who is currently “a secret” will have the honor of collecting the first reprint of the season. As usual, illustrious guests will participate in the event and will not be missing chirping group manager Oh wing Jo. This year in Larraldea we managed to obtain 22,000 liters of cider, using 35,000 kilos of organic apples harvested in Lekaroz, Arizkun, Azpilkueta, Irurita and Elizondo.

In addition to Larraldea, all the cider houses of Navarre will open their doors on Saturday, including, Martixone (Aldatz)Toki Alai (Lekunberri) and Lindirenborda (Lesaka).
Cider season has begunthe barrel It will last until May on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and for groups it will also be offered during the week.
The menu will be the usual one, chorizo with cider, cod omelette, chop, cheese with walnuts and quinces and coffee, all with products from the zero kilometer area. Once the season is over the barrel Leftover cider will be bottled for sale.
