The Kremlin announced today that there was a political will to end the war in Ukraine both by Russia and the United States after the presidents of the two countries Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin were talking on the phone last night, Reuters reported.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was hasty to discuss live meetings between the two leaders.

Trump and Putin have been talking on the phone for more than an hour, and they both expressed a desire to end the conflict in Prokrani, which has been going on for almost three years.

“The previous US government was of the opinion that everything had to be done to continue the war. The current government, as we understand, is of the opinion that everything must be done to stop the war and to prevail peace. Asked if China could play the role of a mediator, Peskov called on reporters to be patience. He added that China is a strategic partner of Russia and Moscow highly appreciates relations between the two countries.
