MEXICO CITY (apro).– The National Electoral Institute (INE) today ordered the Presidency of the Republic to eliminate or at least cut the video of the morning conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on April 22, in the who praised Morena’s candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

On that occasion, the president referred to the hooded checkpoint that stopped Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s convoy in Chiapas; He suggested that it could have been a setup by the Latinus media outlet – which was denied by the outlet and denied by the group of hooded men – and confirmed that Sheinbaum “is a woman with principles, with ideals, honest and with character.”

In what represented, according to the INE, a violation of electoral laws, which force him to respect a neutral position in the ongoing campaign, López Obrador added that Sheinbaum “has the three ‘C’s” that are needed for these tasks: head , heart and character”.

Immediately afterwards, the PAN and the PRD filed a complaint with the INE for violation of the “principles of neutrality, impartiality and equity”, which was validated today by the electoral referee, who ordered López Obrador’s team to download or edit the video to eliminate his electoral comments on the electoral issue.

In its session today, the INE once again rejected the idea of ​​suspending the morning conferences – a recurring request from the opposition bloc – but once again urged the president to stop making statements.
