The German couple spent 20,000 euros on the search for a lost cat

A German couple is still looking for their beloved pet bat, who lost almost a year ago.

Rafal and Monica Clinzmant were traveling from Bavaria to West Germany last July, when they disappeared at Erlangan on the way to Nero.

Rafal, 53, told the Times: ‘I pulled out a car box from the car and wanted to go to the hotel. The box was not closed properly and went out. ‘

In the past months after Nero disappeared, the couple spent more than 20,000 euros ($ 22560) on bad search efforts. The costs such as fuel and hotel stay have become part of the couple’s routine as they travel 300 miles long transport from their home to Erlyngan at the end of each week.

He told the Times that he spends his time in setting posters of the missing bat. So far about 10,000 posters have been installed. Spouses talk to local residents, knock on the doors, and regularly pour Nero’s favorite food, tuna fish in the utensils kept very carefully.

However, Rafal identified a problem that could be a potential reason for Nero’s absence, namely his shyness.

The owner of the cat revealed that ‘it is not a calling to go to people and love it.

“I can imagine that he is so scared that he will only move around at night.”

He sought the help of several volunteers in Erlangan, who gladly offered his time and hard work. These volunteers apply new posters and re -fill food utensils, some of which have cameras, which send direct information to Rafal’s phone.

The helpers also have microchup readers, which Rafal provided so that they can scan the black cats found in the city.

He told the Times: ‘They are ready day and night, all the time. If I call them, they immediately get in the car so that the micro -chip can red. ‘

Although these people have not yet received any good news, they have not even heard the phone call that makes every pet owner scared.

Rafal told The Times that ‘Nero has a micro -chip and if he was found dead, we would have been informed.

“The animal doctors and the motorway maintenance department say that when a dead animal is found, it is scanned.”

The couple’s efforts also faced resistance from some of the locals in Erlangan, who complained about the posters. After that, he went and started distributing posters to the people.

Rafal and Monica have also created a Facebook page, where they share fresh information and photos about their bat, in the hope that someone will see them in an area of Erlangan. They also share their stories and hopes of Nero’s return.

Rafal told The Times: ‘That’s very important to me. He is a friend and the family member and you do not leave your friends. I am not a loser. I am sure she’s still alive. ‘
