The nuclear exercises conducted by Russia and Belarus are proceeding as planned, without incidents and accidents.

As TASS reports, this was announced by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Belarus in charge of scientific works, Colonel Viktor Tumar.

“The exercises are going according to the plan, there are no incidents, there are no accidents, everything is going according to the plan, everything is fine,” he said on the air of the “Minsk-Moscow” Union channel.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that, on the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, the General Staff of the Armed Forces is preparing to conduct exercises in the near future with missile formations of the Southern Military District, with the involvement of aviation and the Navy. The head of the country called the exercises aimed at testing the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons a planned activity, in which there is nothing unusual.

According to him, military exercises will be held in three stages. In the second phase, Belarus will also join the military exercise, on whose territory non-strategic nuclear weapons are located.
