The General Electricity Company completes the Al-Kish transfer station project in the city of Benghazi

Benghazi, March 20, 2024 (Al-Anbaa Al-Libya) – The General Electricity Company announced the continuation of work to complete the Al-Kish converter station project, voltage 220/30/11 kV. In the city of Benghazi, implemented by the American company GE and under the supervision of the General Administration of Transport Projects.

The company added in a statement that work is underway at a rapid pace to complete the installation and testing work, within the framework of supporting the medium voltage and transportation network in the city of Benghazi, increasing reliability and improving the level of network performance in the region and its vicinity.

The company indicated that the goal of these efforts is the Board of Directors’ desire to achieve stability in the public network in many areas, by completing existing projects targeted by the general plan.

In the same context, and within the programmed maintenance plans and programs carried out by the General Administration of Energy Transport, the technical teams managed the lines of the western transmission networks of the General Administration of Energy Transport by washing the Zuwara/Al-Jameel station 30/220 kilograms. To maintain the stability of the electrical network and ensure its continuity for all citizens.

On a related level, within the framework of completing the second unit project at the Sirte Gulf Steam Electricity Station through the Electrical Construction Company, work is still underway to install and assemble the circuit breakers and control room after the availability of materials and spare parts necessary for that, and soon, according to the statement of the General Electricity Company, it will be completed. From installations and testing to control systems.
