The first wave of the finals is here

The peculiarity of the matter is that apparently the ban hammer has not only reached the cheaters, but also the innocent players. This is probably a poorly prepared, algorithm-based ban.

One of the big surprises of the new year has been the free version of The Finals, which promises a fast-paced, task-oriented, team-based FPS experience, and best of all, it delivers. Nothing demonstrates the demand for such a game better than the fact that two weeks after its official release, The Finals already had 10 million players.

However, scammers have been a problem since the beginning. More than one multiplayer game has been ruined by the presence of little cheaters, as most developers either don’t know about them or don’t want to react to them. Embark Studio seems to have decided in favor of the clean cut, because has launched a widespread ban wave to liquidate scammers. The problem is that they also banned many players who didn’t cheat.

Based on what has been said so far, this is a poorly parameterized and algorithm-based ban. If it affects anyone, it is advisable to contact the developers to have the ban revoked. The question, of course, is: if the ban has not been adequately reported, on what basis will it be possible to say whether the person is truly innocent or just an impostor in sheep’s clothing when he returns to duty.
