The first comment from Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi after the rape accusation

On Tuesday, the star of the Moroccan national football team and Paris Saint-Germain, Achraf Hakimi, denied what was attributed to him by a girl who accused him of raping her in his home.

According to what the Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported, Hakimi said that these allegations are “completely false,” and he is awaiting the results of the investigations.

The 24-year-old young player appeared smiling and relaxed yesterday evening, Monday, during the FIFA “The Best” Awards ceremony in the French capital.

A Marca correspondent in Paris said: “Hakimi was very calm,” although the alleged reports coincided with the “The Best” concert.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Nanterre (the western suburb of the capital, Paris) opened an investigation into a rape case targeting the Moroccan national team star.

The investigation was opened after accusations from a 24-year-old woman, who said she was raped at the player’s home in Boulogne-Billancourt on February 25, according to what Le Parisien newspaper reported in information confirmed by the source to Agence France-Presse.

In contact with Agence France-Presse, the Nanterre Public Prosecutor’s Office refused to make any comment, expressing its dissatisfaction with “the information published” in the press because it “undermines the investigations necessary to prove the truth.”

According to the same source familiar with the case, this woman went to a police station in Val-de-Marne on Sunday to report the incident, but she did not file a complaint.

Agence France-Presse contacted Paris Saint-Germain to obtain its opinion, but did not receive any response from the capital club.

It is worth noting that Hakimi is married to the Spanish actress Heba Abbouk, and they have two children.

It was one of the main pillars that led Morocco, at the end of last year in the Qatar World Cup, to a historic achievement, after becoming the first African and Arab team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.
