The highest bank interest rate at Dong A Bank belongs to the 13-month term, currently listed at 5.3%/year. Meanwhile, bank interest rates for terms from 18-36 months decreased to 5.2%/year.
However, Dong A Bank continues to maintain the “special interest rate” of 7.5% for deposits with a term of 13 months or more. The condition to enjoy this highest deposit interest rate is that customers deposit 200 billion VND or more.
Besides Dong A Bank and Techcombank, interest rates at the remaining banks remained unchanged. Previously, on the first working day after the Lunar New Year holiday, National Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) was the only bank to reduce deposit interest rates.
Thus, since the beginning of February 2024, there are up to 16 banks reducing deposit interest rates including: LPBank, Sacombank, NCB, Viet A Bank, SeABank, Techcombank, ACB, VIB, Eximbank, BVBank, KienLong Bank, ABBank, Bac A Bank, PGBank, Sacombank, Dong A Bank.
Among them, VIB, Sacombank, NCB are the first banks to reduce interest rates for the second time since the beginning of the month.
Techcombank is the first bank to adjust interest rates in an upward direction, but only slightly increased for short terms. Interest rates at this bank are still among the lowest today.
