After three hours, the fire service brought under control the fire that broke out in the Jhoot warehouse in Ambag area of ​​Konabari, Gazipur. However, a few warehouses and 26 rooms of the homestead have been burnt in the fire.

Three hours after the fire broke out at 3.15pm on Thursday (February 22), it was brought under control at 6.18pm.

According to local sources, the fire started in the afternoon from the warehouse of Mohammad Sharif in Ambag Boubazar area of ​​Konabari police station of Gazipur metropolis. Instantly, the fire spread to the tin shed houses of Mohammad Zamir Uddin, Lalon Khan and the neighboring Mohammad Abdullah. 26 rooms of that homestead were burnt in the fire.

Abdullah Al Arefin, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, told Jago News that at 3:35 pm on Thursday, I received information about the fire in the Jhut warehouse in Ambag, Konabari. As soon as the information was received, five units of the nearest fire station Konabari and Sarabo Kashimpur were quickly sent to the spot to control the fire. Try to bring the fire under control. As the area is residential and there are many jhoot warehouses, we did not get enough water. Due to which we had to face many problems.

He also said that later we brought water from a distance of about two kilometers and tried to bring the fire under control so that the fire could not spread to the surrounding houses and businesses. The fire that started at 3:15 pm was brought under control at 6:18 pm. The cause of fire and extent of damage will be known subject to investigation.
