The Federal Republic of Germany, State of Hessen, visited BEBKA in Bursa

Manfred Pentz, Minister of State for European and Federal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hessen, and his delegation visited Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA).

Visiting BEBKA and meeting with BEBKA Deputy Secretary General Sabri Bayram and agency officials, Manfred Pentz, State Minister for European and Federal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Hessen and his accompanying delegation received information about the prominent work areas of the BEBKA region, the economic profile of the region and the investment environment. Stating that they were happy to host the delegation, which also included Dr. Rainer Waldschmidt, Director of the Hessen Development Agency (HTAI), BEBKA Deputy Secretary General Sabri Bayram said, “Our relationship with the Hessen Development Agency dates back to the past years. We have held mutual visits since then. We have established a relationship based on common goals and mutual respect. We believe that there is still significant potential to transform our discussions into concrete actions.”

Recalling that a protocol was signed between the state of Hessen and the Bursa Governorship in 2010, Sabri Bayram said, “Following this, a protocol was signed between the Hessen Development Agency (HTAI) and BEBKA in 2014, and more concrete steps were envisaged. BEBKA’s visit to Hessen together with BUİKAD in 2018 and Mr. Rainer’s visit to our agency in 2019 continued. Today, we are taking an important step towards realizing the full potential of our partnership. Your visit means not only the continuation of our relationship, but also its deepening. We are eager to explore new paths, especially in the areas of economic development, innovation and international cooperation.”

Manfred Pentz, the State Minister for European and Federal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hessen, also spoke of the long-standing relations between Hessen and Bursa in his welcoming speech. He drew attention to the potential of Bursa and Turkey.

Speaking during the visit where cooperation issues for the upcoming period were also discussed within the framework of the protocol signed between BEBKA and the Hessen Development Agency, Minister Manfred Pentz thanked BEBKA Deputy Secretary General Sabri Bayram and agency officials for hosting the event. – BURSA
