When rescuers arrived, they tried to remove the python from the window, but the animal fought back fiercely. The python launched pecks at the rescue workers, however, in the end the animal still succumbed and was caught.
The python in the clip was identified as a juvenile reticulated python, nearly 3 meters long. The animal was then released by rescue workers in an area away from human habitation.

The reticulated python is an aggressive python, ready to attack humans when agitated or feeling threatened. Many cases of reticulated pythons attacking and eating humans have been recorded.
Most recently, on June 7, a woman’s body was found inside the belly of a 5m long reticulated python in Sidenreng Rappang district, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. This woman was determined to be attacked and eaten by a python while she was working in her family’s field.
