As announced earlier this week, Niantic will be testing double raids during Raid Hour at select gyms throughout the month. Unfortunately, the term some gyms (in the Select Locations ad) appears to be very limited. These have barely been found in the Netherlands (we haven’t even spoken to anyone who has seen them yet). We read on Reddit that this has been observed, for example, in some locations in Belgium.
Trainers, this month we will try to double the number of raids per gym during all five raid hours in January in select locations globally.

As far as we’re concerned, there’s no reason not to do it everywhere and we hope it gets expanded soon and double raids during Raid Hour are everywhere.
