Professor Dr. Mir Jamal Uddin passed MBBS from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal in 1985 and joined government service in 1989 through 8th BCS. Passed MD cardiology course in 1997. Promoted to Professor (Cardiology) in 2013.
In November 2019, he was appointed as the director of the National Heart Institute and Hospital. Professor Dr. The government awarded the Bangabandhu Public Administration 2023 Medal to the National Heart Institute and Hospital in recognition of its significant contribution to medical research and human welfare under the leadership of Mir Jamal Uddin.
Professor Dr. appointed contractually as director again. Mir Jamal Uddin thanked and thanked the Prime Minister.
This specialist doctor has been serving as the Secretary General of Bangladesh Society of Cardiovascular Intervention, one of the organizations of cardiologists and the Vice President of Bangladesh Cardiac Society.
