A modern health unit has been delivered by the Government of President Nayib Bukele, through the Directorate of Municipal Works to the inhabitants of the municipality of San Emigdio in the department of La Paz, where they can go in case of illness.

The new health unit has been built following the highest quality standards, creating a functional infrastructure that allows it to meet the most urgent needs of a population of more than 2,800 people not only from San Emigdio, but also from the surrounding municipalities: San Miguel Tepezontes, San Juan Tepezontes, Paraíso de Osorio and Santa Cruz Analquito.

The modern facilities of the San Emigdio health unit, which generated local employment, already have large general waiting rooms, a general pharmacy, a FOSALUD pharmacy, a room for medical records, sterilization, general offices, ARI (Respiratory Infections) offices. Acutes), archive room, dentistry, general warehouse and rest area for staff.

The building is equipped with sanitary services for men and women; IRA waiting room, IRAS offices, nurses’ station, electrical room, containers for solid and bio-infectious waste.

The modern sanatorium has specific areas, such as an electrical substation and 40 KVA facilities, including all its applications, new wiring in all its electrical installations, and a 50 KVA electrical plant for energy backup in case of failures in the electrical distribution .

Likewise, it has a high-tech data system, installations for air conditioning in offices, as well as installation of fans in waiting rooms.

The old health unit of San Emigdio was built in the early nineties and since then, the inhabitants had come to it in search of first-class health, despite the inhumane conditions and deteriorated facilities: roof, floors, windows and the respective offices.

The DOM is carrying out 14 constructions of health units nationwide; four of which have been delivered to the population in the municipalities of San José La Fuente in La Unión; Yamabal in Morazán, Tecoluca, San Vicente, and now San Emigdio in La Paz.

The health issue is one of the priorities of the Government of President Nayib Bukele and hence the commitment of the DOM to promote the construction of modern healthcare infrastructure to return to Salvadorans their taxes transformed into work, which accentuates the president’s premise that Money is enough when no one steals.
