Now comes information about the apparently first recorded accident, which ended very well for the Cybertruck and caused only minor injuries, he emphasizes Electrek.
A surprising result
As part of the crash, a Toyota Corolla struck the side of the Cybertruck after the Corolla unexpectedly veered in the opposite direction. According to the images, the Toyota is seriously damaged, while the Cybertruck escaped with only “superficial” injuries.
However, from the perspective of the passengers, the result is surprising, as only minor injuries occurred, but on the driver’s side of the Cybertruck, not on the driver of the Toyota, which is much more seriously damaged.
However, the reason could be a tear caused by a side impact. While cars withstand a frontal impact very well, a side impact can cause a sudden jerk and hit the passengers’ heads or other injuries caused by unexpected overloading. At the same time, it is also worth mentioning that the previous models of this brand belonged among the safest in the world. While this is no guarantee of the safety of the Cybertruck, which is completely different than previous sedans and SUVs primarily due to the steel construction, it is naive to assume that Tesla has thrown safety expertise out the window.
