Long-distance transportation is now carried out with great restrictions.
Shortly before eight in the morning, in Ústí nad Labem, traffic on the main railway line from the Czech Republic to Germany was interrupted for around two hours due to the derailment of a locomotive. The accident appears to have occurred while the locomotives were moving. There were no injuries in the accident.
“A locomotive derailed on the Ústí nad Labem north – Ústí nad Labem main station section. The investigation is ongoing, traffic is suspended. The Ústí nad Labem railway fire brigade intervened on site,” the Railway Administration informed the accident shortly after via the Datel service.
Traffic is now severely limited. Delays may increase 10-20 minutes beyond the location of the emergency.
České dráhy currently expects the full resumption of traffic on the affected section of line 130 at 2 pm, and the Railway Administration at 1 pm.
According to fire brigade spokesman Martin Kavka, the locomotive derailed on the switch, it is on two tracks. CTK said so.
