The circumstances of the death of the Chechen arrested shortly after the terrorist attack in Perimaskava have been revealed

“According to the official version provided by the law enforcement officers, Uspanov committed suicide,” Ombudsman Mansur Soltayev wrote on the Telegram communication site. Soltayev is the first public official to publicly comment on the man’s death three weeks ago.

Uspanova’s mother previously stated to the research publication “Agenstvo” that her son could not have committed suicide because he is a Muslim.

Soltayev also rejected the news that Uspanov was detained in connection with the terrorist attack in Moscow suburbs, calling them “provocations by the pro-Western media and foreign agents.”

He stated that an investigation is currently being conducted to find out the exact circumstances of the death.

It has already been reported that Uspanov was detained on the night of March 22 in Moscow, shortly after the terrorist attack in the Moscow concert hall “Crocus City Hall”.

His mother Taisa Uspanova states that he was detained at the bus stop on his way to his wife’s workplace.

After his arrest, Uspanov called his wife. She wanted to come after him, but he asked her not to, because the police had not brought any charges against her. Later, however, he asked his wife to come to the station.

It has already been reported that Russia detained four citizens of Tajikistan on suspicion of carrying out a terrorist attack and seven other persons who are suspected of being involved in planning the attack.
