The Speaker of the Council of Advisors, Al-Naam Mayara, received today, Wednesday, at the Council’s headquarters in Rabat, a Palestinian delegation currently visiting Morocco at the invitation of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency.
A press release, obtained by Hespress, stated that the meeting constituted an occasion during which the firm Moroccan commitment to defending the Palestinian cause was emphasized, and the pivotal role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, headed by King Mohammed VI, was highlighted.
In this context, members of the Palestinian delegation praised the noble initiatives of King Mohammed VI to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians, the latest of which was the launch of a humanitarian operation to provide medical aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip. They stressed that their current visit is an expression of gratitude for what Morocco, its King, government and people, are doing to support the Palestinian cause.
After highlighting the difficult conditions that the Palestinians are suffering in light of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the members of the delegation stressed that the Palestinian people always bet on Moroccans to support the just Palestinian cause, and their absolute bias towards legitimate Palestinian rights in the face of the Israeli occupation.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Advisors stressed the Kingdom’s firm commitment to strengthening the bonds of solidarity, support and assistance to the Palestinian people in their resistance to the occupation and in achieving their legitimate rights.
Mayara stressed that the Palestinian cause has been one of the national constants over the years, politically, diplomatically and humanitarianly, noting that the Moroccan Parliament will remain an echo of all positions supporting the Palestinians in all Arab and international forums.
In the same context, the Chairman of the Council of Advisors considered that the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, under the personal supervision of King Mohammed VI, has spared no effort, over a quarter of a century, to preserve the Holy City and support the Jerusalemites in their steadfastness, away from any political slogans or bidding.
It is noteworthy that the meeting was an opportunity to study various means to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, especially in light of the current circumstances, and to coordinate Arab efforts to make it a priority on the agendas of international forums.
