The chats with Fabiola Yáñez that Mazzina presented to the court refute the request for help

Fabiola Yáñez confirmed that she had asked for help from the former Minister of Women, Ayelén Mazzina

In an interview with Noticias Argentinas, the former official confirmed that these chats “are real,” that they are “certified by a notary” and that they were presented “in a document with the entire story.”

In these messages, one can read conversations about topics specifically aimed at Women and Gender, and even Yañez stating that she had felt “a great empathy” with Mazzina and predicting that “they could do great things together if they set their minds to it.”

“I have only one goal: to add to and support this national project. I have hope and faith that we can achieve change,” Mazzina responded in one of the screenshots.

Last week, the former official presented a document to Ramiro González’s prosecutor’s office in which she denied Yañez’s claims, who claimed that Mazzina knew about the situation of violence she suffered while she was the wife of the former president and they lived together in Olivos.

According to his statement, the first time he spoke with the former first lady was on April 22, 2023, during a lunch at the presidential residence, with the president present and that, from that moment on, they only spoke via WhatsApp and about work issues.

In an interview with the NA agency, the former minister said that Yañez “did not ask her for help” and that as a public servant “she never turned her back on anyone”, and that if that request for help had happened “she would believe her”, as she had already expressed before she made the first complaint.

“If that had happened, I would have resigned from my post, as I would never be an accomplice to a government with these characteristics,” Mazzina said.
