On the afternoon of June 24, the Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Police coordinated with Phong Dien District Police to protect the scene, organize rescue and investigate a traffic accident that occurred in the area.
Accordingly, the incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on the same day at Km807+230 National Highway 1A, north of An Lo Bridge (across Bo River in Phong Hien commune, Phong Dien district, Thua Thien – Hue province).
Initial information, at the above time, the tractor-trailer car with registration number: 73C- 079.86 was carrying a semi-trailer with registration number 73R- 009.21, driven by driver Le The A. (born 1988, residing in Loc Ninh commune, Dong city). Hoi, Quang Binh province) controlled. This vehicle carries two 15-ton trucks traveling on National Highway 1A in the South – North direction.
When arriving north of An Lo bridge, the tractor-trailer crashed into the edge of the bridge and the guardrail of the bridge. The cabin of the tractor truck, BKS 73C- 079.86, left the trailer and fell into the Bo River. Meanwhile, the trailer and two trucks were lying on the edge of the bridge. The driver luckily escaped injury.
Cause of the accident is under investigation.
