VISAKHAPATNAM: Sunil Narine’s carnage, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Andre Russell’s onslaught stunned Delhi Capitals (DC) bowlers and helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) post 272 runs at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. /7 in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match on Wednesday.

DC bowlers continued to miss against Narine and the opener completed his second half-century of IPL 2024 in just 21 balls. Although Nortje gave DC the big breakthrough by dismissing Salt for 18, it was Narine who grabbed everyone’s attention with an explosive half-century.
Narine, with his explosive batting, helped the team cross the 100-run mark in just 7.3 overs in the game, with Raghuvanshi also looking devastating at the crease.
Mitchell Marsh came into the attack to stifle the KKR attack, as Narine and Raghuvanshi opted for a more controlled approach to seeing out the over.
18-year-old Raghuvanshi couldn’t stop impressing the cricket world as he added his impressive performance with a sensational reverse six in the match. The youngster then scored his maiden IPL half-century with Narine in destructive mood. Both of them completed their 100-run partnership with great ease.
Narine’s wonderful innings came to an end, giving huge relief to the DC bowling unit, until Marsh got the big wicket. Narine returned to the pavilion after scoring 85 runs in just 39 balls. Nortje sent Raghuvanshi packing.
Raghuvanshi performed brilliantly in the very first match and scored a brilliant 54 runs off 27 balls, however his excellent innings came to an end as Nortje sent him to the pavilion in 13.2 overs.
KKR crossed the 200 mark in just 15 overs of the match. In the second-last over of the game, Nortje hit three maximums and a four before Rinku Singh lost his wicket to a mis-timed shot.
A tremendous yorker from Ishant destroyed the wickets at a fast pace and dismissed Russell. In the same over, he dismissed Ramandeep Singh, putting an end to KKR’s dominant performance and restricting Kolkata to 272/7.
