“If there were nine confirmed cases, there are only three that have not been confirmed,” said Aan to reporters, Monday (8/4/2024).
“Yes, the family (knows the victim’s identity),” he continued.
Meanwhile, his party will continue to carry out identification by matching the ante-mortem with the post-mortem, including checking the DNA of the victims. Aan also said that the body would be immediately returned to the family once the identification was complete.
“It’s just a matter of matching the ante mortem, the characteristics before the incident after that, if necessary, DNA is taken, with the post mortem DNA is taken. If the data is sufficient, it can be returned,” he explained.
The police, he said, were also still investigating the accident which claimed the lives of dozens of people. The plan is that the police will also examine a number of witnesses.
“From the TNKB (motorized vehicle registration number) black plate, it means private transportation. Whether it was rented or what is still under investigation, we have processed the crime scene, we have not yet examined what the car was used for,” he explained.
In this regard, the police will also identify who the original owner of the Grand Max car is. “We will look at the engine frame number of the basic vehicle, then we can find out who it belongs to,” he concluded.
