The biggest football party in Europe starts today

News from Angola – The German and Scottish national teams will shortly open the European Football Championship (Euro 2024) at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, to be played from June 14 to July 14, on German soil.

The team with the most appearances in the Euro finals is Germany, with 13 appearances. The match with the most goals was France 4-5 Yugoslavia (9 goals), in 1960.

The first EURO winners were the former Soviet Union, beating Yugoslavia 2-1 in Paris after extra time.

Italy is the holder of the trophy, having defeated England on penalties, at Wembley Stadium, in London, in 2021.
