News from Angola – The German and Scottish national teams will shortly open the European Football Championship (Euro 2024) at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, to be played from June 14 to July 14, on German soil.

At 40 years old, Hungarian goalkeeper Gábor Király is the oldest player to play in the competition (Euro 2016), while Poland’s Kacper Kozłowski, aged 17 at EURO 2021, is considered the youngest to play in this competition.
The team with the most appearances in the Euro finals is Germany, with 13 appearances. The match with the most goals was France 4-5 Yugoslavia (9 goals), in 1960.
The first EURO winners were the former Soviet Union, beating Yugoslavia 2-1 in Paris after extra time.
Italy is the holder of the trophy, having defeated England on penalties, at Wembley Stadium, in London, in 2021.
