The best golfers of the country were determined in Almaty

Sports Director of the Kazakhstan Golf Federation Abylaykhan Kylyshbaev said that the leading regions in the development of golf are Astana, Almaty, Kostanay region and East Kazakhstan region.

Already today, new modern fields are being built in a number of regions. After golf as a sport was included in the program of the Olympic and Asian Games, this gave a huge impetus to its development. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Republican Golf Federation work in close cooperation. In many cities, golf is officially included in the register of children’s and youth sports schools. The head of the KFG, Berik Kaniev, and the vice-presidents of the organization, Serik Sultangali and Kairat Duisenov, regularly organize thematic seminars and training courses for coaches, athletes and the judiciary. This work will bear fruit in the new Olympic cycle,” Kylyshbaev said.

Eraslan Ergali became the champion of Kazakhstan among juniors, who in a stubborn struggle snatched victory over Amirzhan Zhylkaidarova. Experts noted that in the foreseeable future these two golfers will become the main figures of our golf and will bring the country many awards from various international competitions; they are potential participants in the next Asian and, possibly, Olympic Games.
