The Austrian national team reduces the dreams of Poles

The Austrian national team defeated its Polish counterpart 3-1, today, Friday, in the second round of Group D of the European Nations Cup, currently being held in Germany.

The Austrian national team obtained its first three points in its journey in the tournament, after losing in the first round to France with a clean goal.

On the other hand, the Polish team was close to bidding farewell to the competitions, after suffering its second loss, losing in the first to the Netherlands 1/2.

The Austrian team took the lead through Gernot Truaner in the ninth minute, before Krzysztof Piatek equalized for the Austrian team in the 30th minute.

In the 66th minute, Christoph Baumgertner scored the second goal for Austria, before Marko Arnautovic added the third goal from a penalty kick in the 78th minute.

The Austrian national team will meet its Dutch counterpart in the third round next Tuesday, which is the same day that Poland plays France in the same round.
