The approach “something needs to be changed” no longer works – Deputy Terenchenko

Chairman of the Pavlodar regional maslikhat, member of the AMANAT party Ilya Terenchenko called on district deputies not to sit idly by, Liter.kz reports.

In an interview with Ertis TV channel, the people’s representative said that he often hears the phrase “something needs to be changed.”

But changing something doesn’t mean that it’s really true? The solution or the path. We know examples of many ministries where, let’s not hide it, every time, with the arrival of each minister, there were some new decisions, approaches, projects, methods, and so on. But in the end, budget funds were spinning, there was high staff turnover, and team transitions. And what did it give? This is the wrong approach. It no longer works. Works: what do you have to offer? No need to change. It is important to become a participant in the right constructive proposals,” Terenchenko said.

One of the mistakes of deputies in the regions is to wait for Majilismen to arrive in the region. The head of the Pavlodar regional maslikhat is confident that we can propose to consider certain issues ourselves. For example, send letters to Astana or, during a business trip, go into the offices of the chairmen of committees under the Mazhilis.

My participation in the personnel reserve is a certain responsibility. I am working in my position, and what have I done? What initiative did I support in my place? How can I influence something? For me, the thesis is important that maslikhats should actively participate, deputies should be closer to the people. I must structure my work so that the president’s tasks are implemented locally. We believe that if a deputy openly received people somewhere once, is he open? This is wrong. “This must be a system,” Terenchenko is sure.
