The Algerian women’s under-17 football team took a negative stance before its match against its Moroccan counterpart, in the first leg of the third round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals.

Algerian national team officials prevented the press from covering the last training session, violating the rules of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which stipulate that training must be held open to the media.

Officials of the Algerian women’s national team prevented the media, who attended the “Atlas Lionesses” training session in Saidia, from covering their latest preparations before the upcoming match against Morocco.

It is worth noting that the first-leg match between the two sides will take place tomorrow, Friday, on the grounds of the municipal stadium in the city of Berkane, at eight o’clock at night. As for the return match, it will be held the following Friday at the “Salem Mabrouki” Stadium in the capital of Algiers, starting at half past five in the afternoon.
