There are only a few days left until the end of the not very positive year 2023. Many await the next one with great expectations. After all, even the highest representatives of the state say that we have recovered from the worst and that things should only get better.
Finances will become tight
In reality, however, there is not much evidence of this. Next year will be characterized by a sharp cut in family support and finances. And these aren’t some posts that just get received from someone who isn’t feeling too well. This really applies to everyone and it’s very strange that we don’t talk about it much.
This realization will be even harder for many families. This is nothing less than the cancellation of a financial advantage worth CZK 17,300. That’s exactly the amount people could deduct from their taxes this year as part of so-called kindergarten tuition.
Practically all families use it, because nursery schools, even state ones, cost something. This contribution then largely covered the costs. At the same time, this is by no means a small amount of money, as the aid amounts to almost 1,500 crowns per month.

Wallets take a hit
At the same time, the consolidation package cancels it completely and without compensation. You will therefore no longer deduct this amount from your taxes and will therefore have to pay it out of your own pocket. It’s hard to imagine how you could do without it. You can easily send your children to kindergarten. It is the cheapest and most accessible form of childcare when you have to go to work.
Therefore, it is difficult to believe that the state would resort to such a step. “This is news to me and I have to say it’s really bad. I don’t understand how anyone could think of affecting families in this way. We have been paying our tuition in full for several years and now we will be out of luck,” says Mrs. Věra from Prague.

But this is not the only financial help available to almost everyone and which the Czechs will have to say goodbye to. In the same way and in the same direction there is also the limitation of the tax discount for the wife to the extent of approximately 25 thousand crowns per year. Only those who have a child under the age of three will receive it.
