Khalid, a popular singer in the music industry in the eighties and nineties, has died. At the age of 56, the singer of ‘Sarlata Pratima’, ‘Jaat eta Megh Hala Bristhi Naam’, ‘Kao Prabhi Fanano Gela Na Take’ has crossed the path of eternity. At the time of his death, the artist left behind his wife and son Zuaifah Arif, colleagues and numerous fans.
After her father’s death, daughter Zuaifah Arif sent a video message from faraway US through journalist, presenter Tanveer Tarek. In that video, he prayed for his recently deceased father and said, ‘My father died of a heart attack. All of you will pray for my father. Forgive him.’
Meanwhile, Khalid’s first Janaza was held at Green Road on Monday around 11 pm. Then the singer was taken to his home Gopalganj on Monday night.
It is known that Khalid’s frozen body reached the house of Gopalganj city at 3:30 in the night. Before this, Khalid’s first namaz was completed at 11 pm on Monday at Green Road Jame Masjid in the capital. People from all walks of life including art and culture participated in the funeral.
Meanwhile, Khalid’s sister-in-law said that after Zohar prayer on Tuesday (19 March), Khalid’s funeral will be held in the court mosque premises of Gopalganj city. After that, he will be buried in the city’s Gatepara cemetery.
He also said that Khalid’s wife and son are in the United States. On the question whether they will come, he said, according to the religious opinion, it is better to complete the burial within 24 hours, that is the opinion of everyone. So it was decided to bury Khalid on Tuesday afternoon. Khalid’s elder brother is in Gopalganj, he is preparing everything.
Incidentally, Khalid suffered a heart attack at his Green Road residence after Monday evening. He was then rushed to Comfort Hospital on Green Road. After being taken to the hospital, the doctor declared Khalid dead at 7:30. It was reported that he died before being taken to the hospital.
