Texas governor will come to Eagle Pass, welcome 300 soldiers

In order to greet and welcome 300 soldiers of the entity’s National Guard, Greg Abbott, Governor of the State of Texas, will be in Eagle Pass; They will be the first troops to move to the Texas Advanced Operating Base.

Greg Abbott is expected to go to the area where the aforementioned base is being built, which began earlier this year six miles south of the city of Eagle Pass and which will have the capacity to house 2,300 soldiers; assigned to work to strengthen security on the border between Coahuila and Texas.

As has happened on the previous occasions that Greg Abbott has visited Eagle Pass, he will be accompanied by Thomas Suelzer, Adjutant General to the Major General of Texas and by Mike Banks, who was appointed by the Governor of Texas himself as the Border Czar. from Texas.

During his stay on the Texas border with Coahuila, particularly between the cities of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, The Governor of Texas will tour the Texas Forward Operating Base; He will later hold a press conference in which he will unveil and discuss Texas’ historic border security efforts.

Reiterating that such actions are in response to the current border crisis of Joe Biden, current president of the United States of America, who assures that borders are open to migration; So he launched Operation Lone Star, which has meant the militarization of the US border.

It is worth mentioning that, with regard to the border strip between Coahuila and Texas, specifically between Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras; This operation has led to the reinforcement of security measures with the installation of a barrier of metal containers placed under international bridges, as well as clearing the banks of the Rio Grande and the placement of razor wire, which extends kilometers upstream and downstream of the urban area of ​​the aforementioned Texas city.

In addition to the placement of a barrier of maritime buoys in the Rio Grande, which would lead to a series of consular letters sent by Mexico to the United States, given the violation of international water treaties; coupled with the taking of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, by elements of the Texas National Guard and the construction of the Texas Forward Operations Base.
