Tesla won’t reveal how many models it sells

Tesla has released its numbers for the fourth quarter of 2023, and it’s good for the company, but annoying for the rest of us.

Good results

“Tesla managed to produce 20 million 4680 battery cells,” we began when the manufacturer revealed its data for the third quarter. “At the current rate of battery production, Tesla will be able to produce 1,200 cars per week, but as Electrek pointed out: “We can halve this figure for when we talk about the production of the Cybertruck which has a battery pack of around 130 kWh, but keep in mind that the number is only an estimate of the electric pickup’s capacity,” we added at the time.

In any case, this probably means that we won’t find out, at least not in quarterly reports, how Tesla will achieve sales of the Cybertruck. However, we expect them to commercialize the data if it is good. Tesla has allowed the very first customers, mainly in California and Texas, to pre-order the Cybertruck, but only special models can be ordered starting from 1.1 million NOK.
