Coach Ten Hag admitted that Amad Diallo deserves to play more this season in a MU shirt.
The Ivory Coast player came off the bench and then scored the winning goal for MU in a 4-3 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals. This is only this player’s fourth appearance in all competitions this season because the striker born in 2002 was previously injured.
He told reporters: “I’m very happy for Diallo. He is one of the players who had a big setback this season due to a serious injury. After that injury, there were many players in the first team compete for his position. Diallo did not always have the opportunity to compete with his performances or efforts in training sessions. But then he came on and contributed, scoring a goal. We know Diallo can do it, we know he has important moments to decide the match. I’m very happy that Diallo won.”

Amad missed the early part of the season due to a knee injury. After that, the striker born in 2002 had to wait until the end of February to have the opportunity to play from the bench in matches against Fulham and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and FA Cup.
