Tempi: Fierce against ND and SYRIZA after Kasselakis video about Mitsotakis “lies”

A new political conflict has erupted between the government and the opposition over Tempi – an issue that continues to monopolize the news and will not stop until the victims and their families are vindicated – this time, on the occasion of the prime minister’s “change of attitude”, as he claims Stefanos Kasselakis.

Accusations of “lies” are given and taken after the interview of the president of SYRIZA on MEGA, during which Mr. Kasselakis played live, on the Live News show, a video with two different statements by Kyriakos Mitsotakis regarding the cargo of the commercial train, the night of the fatal train crash that claimed the lives of 57 people.

Maximos, through government sources, accused Stefanos Kasselakis of “arrogance and aggression”, referring to the explanations of the government representative for what the prime minister said in his morning television interview on the matter.

Kasselakis: The prime minister had a 180 degree change

“Because we are talking about instrumentalization and we have been called leeches and that we are inciting violence, today at noon I heard the Prime Minister change his position on the issue of the cargo of the commercial train. The prime minister had a 180-degree change,” said the president of SYRIZA characteristically, on the occasion of the prime minister’s interview with ANT 1, during which, referring to Tempi, he stated that “we cannot rule it out (for the combustible matter), but I know very well that there was no cover-up.’

Stefanos Kasselakis recalled that shortly after the fatal accident, Kyriakos Mitsotakis declared that there was no flammable material in the commercial train, even speaking of “conspiracy theories”.

And in support of those he supported, he played live on the show a related video with the two different statements of the prime minister.

To add that “the prime minister of the country, in the crime he is covering up together with the other fireplace of the country, the Karamanli fireplace, lies to the camera, in interviews, to the Greek people. Is it possible that the prime minister of the country does not know if the area will be trashed, if the traces should be removed? If he didn’t know, he should say so publicly.”

“Why did he say before the election with certainty that there was nothing flammable and today he said otherwise? Why did he lie?” asked the president of SYRIZA.

In addition, Mr. Kasselakis did not fail to respond to the government’s narrative about the “hypocritical attitude of SYRIZA” regarding Tempi and the non-existence of specific charges against the former Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Costas Ah. Karamanlis, in order to set up a preliminary investigation committee, emphasizing that the indictment with 11 criminal acts has been made public. He even reminded that if the ND grants a parliamentary amnesty to Mr. Karamanlis “we cannot bring back the same charges against him”.

Government sources: Arrogant and aggressive when pressed for substantive answers

“It is enough to see another interview of Mr. Kasselakis to see that his arrogance is increasing and the aggressive way in which the president of SYRIZA speaks, when he is pressed to give substantial answers”, was the response of the government, through sources , to the president of SYRIZA and what he said about Tempi and the “lies” of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

As for “his new distortions around today’s interview of the prime minister about the ‘editing machine’ and ‘wooden’ in Tempi, we quote today’s answers of the government representative from the briefing of the political editors”, they noted.

And they referred to the statements of Pavlos Marinakis, who, answering relevant questions from journalists about the fact that Mr. Mitsotakis left open the possibility that the train carried xylene in the Tempe tragedy, while he said that he does not know how the so-called “edited conversations” were leaked “, he was content to repeat the “conspiracy theories”, “all this will be decided by the Court”, “the opposition is toxic” and so on…

It is worth pointing out, however, Mr. Mitsotakis’s opinion on the “bazoma”: “Which bazoma? I’m asking: to throw gravel to stabilize the ground so that the crane goes to lift the wagons of the train, not the commercial one, the passenger one… That’s why it happened. It was a business decision, we didn’t even know that. Well, a decision was made to stabilize the ground so that the wagons could be lifted,” the prime minister said, explaining that the decision was made by the persons who had taken responsibility at the scene of the tragic accident.

SYRIZA: The prime minister was caught lying

Koumoundourou took the “baton” from the president of the party, in the announcement of which it is noted that “the prime minister was caught lying for the umpteenth time, his categorical assurance turned into something that cannot be ruled out.”

“The persistence of the president of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance, Stefanos Kasselakis, has weakened yet another prime ministerial ‘certainty'”, he underlines, emphasizing that “the categorical and prolonged denial of the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, about the transfer of flammable materials, such as xylene, from the fatal commercial train of Tempe, today there was a spectacular admission that we cannot rule it out.”

Androulakis: Every three or so, we catch the prime minister lying

Nikos Androulakis also launched an attack against the prime minister, on the occasion of his references to Tempi, focusing on the “editing” revealed by “To Vima”.

“Today, he told us that after the normal audio has gone to the Court, nothing has happened. Are we serious? Nothing happened; That night, a rogue man took the station master’s conversations, tampered with them, and gave them to the First Theme and nothing happened? This is what we missed, that they have given the copper to the investigation!”, emphasized the president of PASOK, speaking at the 9th Economic Forum of Delphi.

In fact, when asked if he believes Mitsotakis’ statement that there was no government involvement in the case of the station master’s audio recordings, Mr. Androulakis pointed out that “every three or so, we catch the prime minister lying.”

“I appreciate that he is telling another lie”, he added, arguing that “that night, in the face of the anxiety of political management, they set up a ruthless plan to manipulate public opinion. They took the files, coppered them and funneled them to the First Theme. For me, Justice must ask the owners of the First Issue how they came into their hands, and whether they arrived copper-plated or not. Everything will be revealed and I am sure that once again the Greek people will understand that Mr. Mitsotakis is lying,” insisted Nikos Androulakis.
