Telkom Collaborates with F5 Global Company, Strengthening Cyber ​​Security

JAKARTA – Cyber ​​security services ( cyber security ) in the country continues to increase authority. This is marked by the strategic collaboration between PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and the global cyber security company, F5.

Telkom Indonesia and F5 officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Telkom’s Strategic Portfolio Director, Budi Setyawan Wijaya, said that the two entities would focus on Indonesian cyber security services.

Apart from that, accelerating development and increasing Telkom’s capabilities in the field of cyber security and other digital products.

“Telkom and F5’s strategic partnership is an effort to strengthen Telkom Group’s capabilities as the digital telco of choice in Indonesia, especially in the field of cyber security,” said Setyawan Wijaya, Thursday (2/5/2024).

Based on research from IDC in 2023, the cyber security market share in Indonesia is estimated to reach IDR 6 trillion in 2028 with a CAGR of 16.6 percent.

According to him, the growth of the digital economy and high market demand for digital security services in Indonesia is quite rapid. This condition requires Telkom to answer needs through digital connectivity, digital platforms and digital services.

“The need for cyber security in the future will increase rapidly as the digital transformation campaign in Indonesia becomes stronger and the Personal Data Protection Law will come into effect in October 2024,” said Setyawan.

F5, with its cyber security capabilities, including application and API security, as well as multi-cloud management is believed to be able to strengthen Telkom Group’s IT Services portfolio.

Telkom and F5’s strategic collaboration is also expected to support the Indonesian economy, where cyber security has an important role in developing a strong, safe, sovereign and sustainable digital economy.
