This condition must be anticipated so that the information chaos that occurred in the 2024 Election does not happen again.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria said that one way to prevent the spread of disinformation is by utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
According to him, the use of AI in journalism will make it easier to filter information that will be conveyed to the public. “Artificial Intelligence can be used for fact checking and analyzing disinformation,” he said.
In addition to fact-checking and disinformation analysis, AI technology in journalism can also be used for content personalization and automation, text summarization and compilation, and chatbots for interviews and public surveys.
Nezar said, national media can implement a multiplatform business model by presenting news on several content platforms at once. Second, presenting journalism show content that focuses on in-depth, specific, and interesting news content. Third, diversifying and presenting quality content through a digital subscription scheme.
And finally, the use of the latest technology such as Artificial Intelligence in journalistic activities such as news content creation and news translation. Nezar conveyed this in his speech at the National Consolidation of the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) which took place at the Peninsula Hotel, Jakarta, Friday (13/9/2024).
