Hanuman star Teja Sajja has announced his next project in which he will be seen playing the role of a super warrior. Directed by director Karthik Gattamaneni, the film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory.
The makers unveiled the title of the film along with the first look poster, giving a glimpse of the cinematic spectacle. Based on ‘King Ashoka and His Secrets 9’, the film will be made on a large scale with top-level production and technical standards.
The first look poster titled Mirai (Future) shows Teja Sajja in a super warrior look with yo (staff stick) in hand, standing on top of an erupting volcano. In the background, an eclipse can also be seen, highlighting the backstory of the film.
Largely based on King Ashoka and His Secrets 9, the Kalinga War stands as a dark chapter in Ashoka’s history, marking a period of deep repentance and introspection for the emperor. During this time of repentance a divine revelation occurred, revealing the profound knowledge contained in nine scriptures, believed to confer divine qualities on those who possessed them. To preserve this sacred knowledge for future generations, nine formidable warriors were appointed its guardians.
Karthik Gattamaneni has also written the screenplay, with Manibabu Karanam writing the dialogues. Sri Nagendra Tangala is the art director of the film, while Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer. Kriti Prasad is the creative producer, and Sujit Kumar Kolli is the executive producer.
The makers have announced the release of Mirai in 2D and 3D versions in multi-languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Chinese – exactly one year later, on April 18, in the summer.
