Farhan’s father told Independent Urdu, ‘We belong to a middle-class family and shifted to this area after buying a house two years ago. After the disappearance, we did not understand what had happened, that my son had been abducted or how he had disappeared.’

He said that the first thing that came to our mind was that he himself had sent money from Saudi Arabia for the wedding, with which we had completed all the arrangements for the wedding and after returning home from abroad, he attended the wedding ceremony. attended but nevertheless he disappeared from the house without meeting the bride.

Farhan’s father registered a missing case of his son at the nearby police station and the police started searching for him. Along with this, the people of the village also tried to find Farhan in the nearby areas every day, but no trace was found for 26 days.

Farhan’s father said that these 26 days passed like an apocalypse for his family. ‘We prayed, finished the Qur’an and at the same time we continued to perform Nawafil so that the son would be found again. The bride and her family members were also in agony as to how the groom Farhan suddenly disappeared leaving the new bride.

Last week, various videos regarding this incident came out on social media and the public demanded an investigation from the police to find Farhan as soon as possible and thus on April 4, the police recovered Farhan from Mardan district.

Did Farhan go himself?

Deputy Superintendent of the nearby police station Ameer Zeib told Independent Urdu that Farhan was abducted by someone and there was no incident with him but he himself left the house on the night of the wedding and the police traced Farhan. They have been handed over to their families.

When Ameerzeb was asked what was the reason for leaving the house, he replied that Farhan had told the court in his statement that he had mental problems due to the marriage, due to which he left the house on the night of the wedding. Left the house and was missing for 26 days.

“Farhan told the court that the first night he spent the cold night in a blanket on the bank of the river near the house and went to Peshawar the next day,” Zeib said. After that for 26 days he traveled in different vehicles and spent nights in different districts. He has stayed in Dir, Swat, Peshawar and Mardan districts including Rawalpindi.

Farhan’s house is now full of happiness again. Villagers come to congratulate his parents and join them in rejoicing for the son’s return. Farhan while talking to media persons said that he had some problem at some house due to which he left the house and now he has returned.

Farhan said, ‘I am grateful to the people of the area for giving so much love and also apologize to all the relatives for what I have done that I have shown their heart.’ According to Farhan’s father, Farhan has developed some mental problem and will be treated soon, but he is happy that Farhan is back home.

How common is the fear of marriage?

Farhan has not clarified what his main problem was and what kind of problems he had at home, but according to experts, if there are no other domestic problems, it is normal to feel afraid of marriage.

Dr. Aizaz Jamal is serving in the Department of Psychiatry at Mardan Medical Complex. He told Independent Urdu that the fear of the wedding night and the stress associated with it is very common in the society and it is mostly due to the assumptions made by the people in the society.

Dr. Azaz said that the most common problem in this is to feel fear and depression on the wedding night, in which the bride is told that the first night of marriage is a very difficult process. It is a natural process and there is no problem in it, however people within the society have attached different things to it which are contrary to the facts.

According to Aizaz, due to these assumptions, some people suffer from mental stress and this pressure increases to depression, after which we do therapy for such people and after some time they start living a completely normal life. are
