Mumbai, India (ots/PRNewswire) – Tata Communications today announced the launch of its Unified/Single-Vendor Hosted Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) for global enterprises. In collaboration with Versa Networks, a leader in AI-powered Unified SASE, Tata Communications Hosted SASE brings together software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN) and Secure Service Edge (SSE) into a single-pass technology, enabling forward-thinking enterprises to fully leverage the power and potential of cloud-based environments through exceptional performance, zero-trust security, ease of use and cost-effectiveness.
- The unified solution is the first of its kind to be introduced worldwide.
- Leverages the company’s global network presence to deliver carrier-grade performance and enhance the user experience
- Provides unified visibility and control of network traffic with contextual insights
The end-to-end solution hosted and managed by Tata Communications offers secure, scalable and flexible deployment. The company’s cross-domain expertise in network, security and cloud ensures seamless operational management and integration with existing systems for enterprises, ensuring solid support throughout the process.
As enterprises increasingly adopt hybrid working practices, SD-WAN and a digital-first approach, the vulnerability of their distributed network architecture to cyberattacks is increasing, and with it the need for robust SSE solutions. A study commissioned by Tata Communications in collaboration with Omdia found that secure remote working is the top reason for adopting SASE solutions in global enterprises (49%), closely followed by simplified and integrated security models (43%). In addition, almost half of enterprises cited the separation of security and network teams as one of the biggest challenges when adopting SASE.
Tata Communications Hosted SASE is uniquely positioned to address these challenges. The company leverages its globally distributed network to deliver Hosted SASE to ensure carrier-grade connectivity and superior performance. It also provides advanced detection and protection in real time through a cyber threat intelligence platform that generates insights by aggregating data from Tata Communications’ network and other leading industry sources.
“Our customers work in a hyper-connected environment, so it is important that they can access data anytime, anywhere without compromising on security or usability,” says Srinivasan CR, Executive Vice President, Cloud and Cybersecurity Services and Head of Digital, Tata Communications. “Our Hosted SASE solution enables global enterprises to communicate and collaborate securely by integrating all data and applications into a single digital fabric that provides end-to-end control and visibility.”
Tata Communications Hosted SASE’s single-pass technology provides unified visibility and control of network traffic and actionable insights to optimize network performance. This helps organizations avoid the complexity and delays of managing an ever-growing number of point solutions. They can also improve their return on investment — with Tata Communications Hosted SASE, the cost of ownership is estimated to be nearly 40% lower than using point solutions.
“As workforces become increasingly hybrid, it has never been more important to offer something radically different because every customer is unique and needs flexibility in deciding how a SASE architecture fits into their environment. With Hosted SASE, Tata Communications has set a new standard for enterprise security and connectivity,” said Mouli S, Senior Vice President and Head of Technology, Hinduja Global Solutions..
“We are very pleased to deepen our partnership with Tata Communications,” said Kelly Ahuja, CEO of Versa Networks. “Their Hosted SASE offering will help enterprises drive business transformation while improving security posture and providing a better user-to-application experience. By delivering these services through a single platform and fully leveraging their global network footprint, Tata Communications can differentiate itself from the competition through data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.”
“Remote work, cloud connectivity and collaboration are important aspects for companies. But each of these possibilities poses security risks. SASE helps simplify and integrate companies’ security models,” says Brian Washburn, Head of Research, Omdia“Tata Communications’ Hosted SASE solution is the first of its kind in the world to combine the provider’s high-performance global network with enhanced security to enable organizations to communicate and collaborate more securely.”
