Egyptian media reports revealed that the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne issued a decision to suspend the Egyptian Football Association’s punishment against Moroccan international Mohamed El-Sheibi, which included a six-match suspension, against the backdrop of his resorting to the civil courts in the case of the assault he was subjected to last year at the hands of Al-Ahly player Hussein El-Shahat. .

The Egyptian newspaper “Al-Ahram”, citing sources close to the Pyramids player, indicated that “TAS” recognized El-Sheibi’s right to resort to civil justice to decide his case, obliging the Egyptian Football Association to immediately lift the suspension of the Moroccan international.

Against this background, the Egyptian Football Association issued a statement to journalists, through its media center, in which it confirmed that “the suspension was lifted from Mohamed El-Sheibi, the Pyramids player, from the time he filed an appeal on June 2 against the penalty of his suspension for 6 matches, until the dismissal of the appeals committee headed by Counselor Mohamed Abdo Saleh in The complaint submitted by him.

The statement continued, “The decision of the Tas Court is identical to the decision of the Football Association regarding Al-Sheibi’s eligibility to participate in the matches.”

The decision of the International Sports Court came to shock the Egyptian Football Association, which insisted in the past hours on not providing Pyramids officials with a document proving the suspension of the punishment for El-Sheibi until the Appeals Committee decided on the case.
