Tamar Golan Gallery presents Colors and Letters exhibition

Galeria Tamar Golan will present another innovative exhibition, the result of a partnership between the artist Mambo Art and the writer overdoSe welwianO, the exhibition entitled Colors and Letters will open on Friday (8), at the Fundação Arte contemporary art gallery and Culture, remaining public until June 25th.

“I’ve been making drawings for as long as I’ve known myself as an artist and I’ve always been passionately linked to the arts.” Pedro Quinteiro, artistic name Mambo Art, was born in Lunda Norte on March 13, 1989. He began working in 2001 in the studio of master Kaslemba, with whom he learned the various painting and canvas preparation techniques, which he perfected with others masters.

He held his first exhibition in 2011, in Luanda, at the Hotel Alvalade. Among other participations in exhibitions, he was present in 2014 at FENACULT and ENSART, and in 2015 in a group exhibition with Andy Graf, at Cine Tropical. He participates in the 2nd and 3rd editions of the Artists’ Marathon with exhibitions at the Centro Cultural Brasil-Angola. In 2016 he held a large solo exhibition at Galeria Tamar Golan and, in 2017, another at the UNAP international gallery. He was one of the mentors and trainers of the Caderno de Arte da Escola project, with exhibitions at MAAN.

“When I was old enough to fall in love with something, I decided to choose letters to be my eternal lovers.”

Born in Moxico, Orlando Salvador Ana was born on May 27, 1988. His first poem was written around the age of 12. He also ventured into the world of music, deciding to sing some of what he wrote. To the artistic name overdoSe (just like that, as written, he emphasizes) he added “o welwianO” (also like that!), a name that comes from the artistic group created with Júlio Cassinda Epalanga, in which each member of the group had that attribute. He is part of the “Artes ao Vivo” movement, created in 2004. His first participation in an exhibition was “Aquarela”, at Fukin’Globo 2018, at the invitation of Alekssander Fortunato. With Mambo Art he sows the seeds of a dream that is now sprouting, and from which comes the exhibition “Cores e Letras”.
