SYRIZA invests in the paper of polarization

The street of polarization and the heightened conflict with the ND has been chosen by Koumoundourou on the way to the European elections – with Stefanos Kasselakis personally “raising”, with constant public interventions, the specific strategy of the official opposition party. The president of SYRIZA, who for days has been raising issues concerning even the immutability of the electoral process, has chosen to target Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself and the close core of Megaros Maximos both for the tragedy of Tempi and for other issues that for Koumoundourou relate to transparency and the rule of law, such as the leak of the personal data of emigrants to Anna Michele Asimakopoulou.

On this wavelength, Stefanos Kasselakis yesterday (“Sky”) once again drew an imaginary line that directly connects Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the former Minister of Infrastructure Kostas Karamanlis: “Kyriakos Mitsotakis covers up for Kostas Karamanlis and admits that if he goes to prison the government will fall”, he commented. “Capturing (of Temps) happens when you cover up the minister in charge and a whole party applauds him like sheep in the fold. It is a shame for a party that evangelizes security”, he said characteristically, pointing his arrows at the Justice, saying that trust in it “is not blind” and “is not given to anyone”.

Regarding the inviolability of the elections, he noted that this is about the whole “disinformation process” and not only about the election day process, stressing on the one hand that this is the first time in the Post-colonial period that there has been “misappropriation of Greek voters’ data” and on the other hand that he does not intend to challenge the election result – “I have no intention of denying it, I’m not even afraid of it,” he said.

Kasselakis also set the bar for the European elections to “total overturn”, aiming for the party to achieve a result higher than that of the last elections, he emphasized that he will submit a declaration of assets before the European elections, he placed particular emphasis on the issue of security (“Quality neighborhood policing, effective police”), while he described SYRIZA, which does not change its name and symbol, as “the one democratic faction that unites the entire Center-Left”.

Along with the heightened oppositional tones, Koumoundourou is also preparing for the primary elections that will take place on April 14 and will determine the names that will participate in the European ballot. The candidates will be divided into 13 regions, which means that the ballot papers will be different in each part of Greece, while there will be proportional representation of the regions and a 50-50 ratio between men and women.

All the positions on the European ballot will be decided by this process, apart from the two that are covered by the two current MEPs (K. Arvanitis, El. Kountouras), but also five vacant positions that will be filled with the choices of Stefanos Kasselakis – and in which, depending on the result of the primaries, it is possible to see persons who will not have been elected there.

Yesterday, Koumoundourou published another 58 names (among them the journalists Dimitris Papanotas and Dimitris Panopoulos) which came to be added to those of Sofia Bekatorou, the former basketball player Nikos Pappas, the journalist Dora Tsapazis as well as former ministers, parliamentarians and executives SYRIZA, such as D. Augeris, G. Tsipras, P. Kouroumplis, N. Faradouris, Z. Tsirigotis, Ev. Antonaros, et al.
