Syrian organizations and Palestinian factions in Damascus considered the Al-Aqsa flood to be the nation’s battle in defense of the land and holy sites, expressing pride and standing alongside the people in occupied Palestine.

In a statement signed by the Palestinian resistance factions, the International Jerusalem Foundation – Syria, and the Syrian Arab Popular Committee to Support the Palestinian People and Resist the Zionist Project, it said: As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the October Liberation War, which was fought by the Syrian and Egyptian Arab armies, and in which fighters from Arab countries participated, most notably the sons of Palestine, the terrorists and their sinful occupying masters on Syrian soil committed a horrific crime targeting students of the Military College in Homs, which has always been a factory for ideological heroes defending the honor and dignity of this nation from the ocean to the Gulf, imagining that the horror of their crimes could change the course of history, unaware that the record of honor of this nation from Yarmouk to Hattin and Ain Jalut and the October Liberation War and the July victory still contains pages awaiting unprecedented heroism.

She added in her statement today: The wait did not last long, as on the following day, October 7, 2023, the world woke up to the miracle of the resistance heroes in Palestine by penetrating the enemy lines and clashing with them on the pure land of Palestine, which was defiled by settlements and settlers, and they killed and captured officers and sinful aggressors who made the abuse of the Palestinian people in all their cities and villages a daily aggressive practice. This crossing was a continuation of the steadfastness of the Syrian people for more than a decade and their brave defense of the identity and Arabism of Syria, Palestine, and the Arabism of all Arabs.

They pointed out that belonging to the land, loving it, defending it, and martyrdom for its sake are not created by machines and equipment, but rather by the ancient history and the true and historical belonging to geography and homelands, stressing the importance of the unity of the arenas, as whoever confronts terrorism, occupation, and aggression in Syria is defending Palestine, because Palestine is the compass and because integration and solidarity between the members of the axis of resistance is a basic condition for inflicting a final defeat on the Zionist enemy and the forces supporting it and defending the right of our peoples to sovereignty, independence, freedom, dignity, and self-determination.
