An electrical fire may only be extinguished with water if the ignited electrical device has been disconnected from the mains or the fuse has been tripped at the electric meter. The best way to put out electrical fires is to keep a 6-kilogram ABC powder fire extinguisher ready at home.

But it is better to prevent such cases, that’s why OKF summarized what is worth paying attention to when installing air conditioners:
- Just an air conditioner may be connected to an appropriately sized electrical networkas they operate in high heat and with increased current consumption.

- The combustible materials must be kept away from the outdoor unit.

- To avoid mechanical errors regular maintenance is important. Lack of proper greasing and oiling, as well as bearing wear, generate heat that can burn out your air conditioner motor.
