Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Besime Özderici Barrier-Free Life Center Pool Complex, which was implemented for the use of disabled citizens with the instructions of Memduh Büyükkılıç, provides great benefits to students both spiritually and physically.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Besime Özderici Barrier-Free Living Center, one of the largest disabled living centers in its field in Turkey, is expanding its service complex day by day in order to meet the education and treatment needs of disabled individuals and to exceed international standards.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Metropolitan Municipality Besime Özderici Barrier-Free Life Center, which was brought to the city under the leadership of Memduh Büyükkılıç and in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and philanthropists and is an example for Turkey, has implemented the Pool Complex for disabled students with the motto ‘We Know No Barriers in Service’.
The Barrier-Free Indoor Swimming Pool, which has physical and treatment areas for disabled individuals, continues its activities.
While only registered students used the swimming pool, 150 students per week have been attending swimming sessions since the complex was opened.
Thanks to this project, the development of disabled children, who benefit from the swimming pool in addition to hydrotherapy, improves both mentally and physically thanks to swimming, and swimming is of great importance, especially in the treatment of autism.
Children are taken to the sessions individually or in groups of two with a swimming instructor.
While private students expressed that they were very happy about this project, parents also expressed their gratitude to Metropolitan Mayor Dr. They thanked and prayed for their entire team, especially Memduh Büyükkılıç.
It makes significant contributions to activating all muscles.
In the pool section, which was completed and put into service as the 4th block, there is a swimming pool, hydrotherapy treatment pools, fitness center, snoezelen room known as the dark room, sensory integration room and physical therapy rooms.
The pool makes a significant contribution to disabled individuals activating all the muscles in their body. With the gains to be achieved, it plays a major role in helping disabled individuals take a more active role in social life, work in a planned manner and gain self-confidence.
