Surprised Mining Concessions Are Being Fought Over, Megawati Mentions TNI and Rice

JAKARTA – 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Sukarnoputri assessing the importance of food sovereignty over mining management. He also highlighted the current phenomenon of mining sharing.

This was conveyed by Megawati in her national speech at the Perindo Party’s National Working Conference (Mukernas), at the Jakarta Concert Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (30/7/2024).

According to him, developed countries no longer want war. He believes that developed countries prioritize technological development over war that can cause casualties.

“This must be followed by our so what, our forces are the TNI, what are our contents, you know. Well, if it happens later, we will be attacked again, because our country has extraordinary resources,” said Megawati.

However, Megawati is strange about the current phenomena, one of which is mining concession permits.

“People in the mining affairs are now excited. Want to find a mine, want to find a mine I told my friends. makanno (food o) mine later if there is no rice and then piye,” explained Megawati.

Megawati explained that the countries that supply rice are on guard. She also questioned the domestic rice supply if importing countries hold back their rice.

“What countries now, if they don’t believe me, countries that import or export rice are also nervous, so they might possibly hold back because it’s for their country. So, where do we keep looking?” said Megawati.

For that, Megawati admitted that she had ordered cadres to plant 10 types of rice companion plants. She also hopes that the Perindo Party can do the same.

“We at PDIP have been giving instructions to all ranks to plant for the past 4 years, let Perindo do the same, plant 10 types of plants that I call rice companions, not substitutes,” explained Megawati.

“If later there is none, don’t think about importing, the imports will also be held back. We have to think sanely, we have to think smartly, that if later it happens, we will be confused about where to look,” he emphasized.
