Support for the claims of producers by G. Tsimaris

The Ioannina Agricultural Cooperative “Union of Farmers” was visited by Ioannina MP and Deputy Secretary of the PASOK Parliamentary Group of Change, Yiannis Tsimaris where she met with her chairman Haris Liouris and the members of the Board of Directors.

During the meeting, Mr Tsimaris was informed by the President and the members present on the huge problems that today is facing one of the most important pillars of the Greek economy, the primary sector, with an emphasis on the geographical area of ​​Epirus.

The debate focused on the cost of production, which has been launched, on the constant demand for tax -free agricultural oil as well as the maintenance of a fixed price on the rural current. The main demands of the Union include a reduction in VAT on basic foodstuffs as well as to protect producer prices from unfair commercial practices, the completion of the Ministry of Culture of the Audit mechanisms and the immediate implementation of Artemis 2.

Both Ioannina MP and the administration made a special reference to the issue of regulating the loans of breeders, and everyone agreed to the need to create a strategic plan for the primary sector with policies that will provide a vision for the industry for the coming years. Issues raised by the president of PASOK-KIN.AL. Mr. N. Androulakis during the discussion of the current question about farmers in the House.

For his part, Mr Tsimaris pledged to closely monitor through parliamentary control the course of the claims of people in the primary sector that breathe in the countryside as well as the promotion of their just demands.
