An atrocious scene shook the peaceful village of Antalamohitra yesterday morning, in the Antehiroka commune, Ambohidratrimo district. The lifeless body of a 39-year-old woman was discovered hanging in her home in the fokontany Antalamohitra, in the aforementioned commune. Informed of these facts, elements of the Antehiroka gendarmerie station accompanied by the doctor from the level 2 basic health center (CSB2) of the locality immediately went to the scene to carry out the usual findings. Once there, they saw the victim hanging by the rope of a clothes dryer erected in the courtyard of his house. Her chest right between her two breasts showed a fairly deep stab mark. A trace of a syringe injection was found on his left arm. A chair, by which she had climbed to be hanged, was still found beneath her feet. The search carried out in his house revealed pieces of cotton and fabrics soaked in blood. This was found in the garbage bin at home. According to her father’s testimony, he last saw his daughter on the evening of April 13, the day before the macabre discovery. Given these facts, the medical examiner put forward the theory of suicide to explain the cause of this woman’s death. That evening, she had lunch again with her family. He adds that it dates back to 9 hours before the discovery of the remains. For the moment, the exact cause of the suicide remains undetermined. This is why an investigation into this matter has been opened.
